Palak allotted free office space for Dhrubotara
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak has announced free office space for Dhrubotara Youth Development Foundation in all Software Parks and Sheikh Kamal IT Centers of the country.
He announced so at the opening ceremony of 'Bangladesh Youth Summit 2022' organized by Dhrubotara Youth Development Foundation at Krishibid Institute in the capital on Saturday (September 17).
The Chief Executive of Dhrubotara Youth Development Foundation Amiya Prapan Chakraborty Ork, Minister of Science and Technology Yeafesh Osman, Member of Parliament Arma Dutta, Member of Parliament Fakhrul Imam, Director General of Directorate of Youth Development Md. Azharul Islam Khan and others also spoke at the event. The program was presided over by Dhruvatara Youth Development Foundation Chairman and Rabindra University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Shah Azam.
While speaking as the chief guest, the Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury urged the youth to be politically aware to deliver the benefits of the ongoing development to the doorsteps of the common people.
She said, in youth welfare and youth development, importance should be given to eliminate discrimination between people of different classes and occupations, create equal opportunities in various fields including education, health. Youth have talent, skills and talents, need opportunities. If given the opportunity, they can bring positive change in the society by developing their talent. Therefore, apart from opening up equal opportunities for all, in this era of globalization, youth should be included in other global issues including climate change. Creating awareness at the grass root level and creating awareness about child rights etc. To deal with natural disasters, the government is implementing various programs including social forestry, tree plantation. Common people in the country are benefiting even in remote areas through the spread of information technology. Youth have to play a role in overcoming the new challenges created after the Covid-19 pandemic, economic recovery and financial management.
While addressing as the special guest, the ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak said, on behalf of the pride of our youth, Sajeeb Wazed Joy Bhai, as many software parks and Sheikh Kamal IT Centers as we are building in Bangladesh, one floor has been allocated for startups. Today I am happy to assure you that the Division or District where Dhrubotara Youth Development Foundation is located or operating; If you want, I will give you a small floor space there. In addition, the Sheikh Russell School of Future and Digital Labs to be built in 300 parliamentary seats can be used as free training centers from the afternoon to make the youth qualified for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. At Upazila level, 5000 square feet office of Joy D-sets will also be open for them.
He also said that if Dhrubotara wants, the ICT Division will jointly work with them to create technology-based women entrepreneurs. Third gender entrepreneurs will be given seed money through you as well.
